comfortable on the operating table

You're literally strapped on a hard and narrow piece of sterile furniture, in a middle of a room with lights focused on you, several pairs of eyes of masked faces stare down at you, sharp pointed objects cut you up... and you say that you're comfortable on the operating table?

Certainly no one can relax in that horrifying situation, but when you're through it many times in a row, you will try to make yourself comfortable.

The first to start this trend happened in the first year that we were getting settled in Bangkok. I did a little story about it in this link:

The second time that I was made to lay on the operating table is also shared in this link:

and now the third and hopefully the last one for me.

This trip to the OR started the day I was born. Growing involves every cell in the body including skin cells. This means that as you grow older your skin grows wider and wider, which accounts for the saggy, excess skin in any part of the human anatomy of the elderly including Noah - me.

One particular area in my anatomy was growing too saggy that it threatened to obliterate my vision... the upper eyelids. Some call it "hooding" others call it upper eyelid "bags," but simply put - it's old age eyelids.

Upper Blepharoplasty or surgery of the upper eyelid or double eyelid surgery is the next most sought-after plastic surgery procedure among asian ladies second only to the nose implant. It creates a crease along the upper eyelid parallel to the eyelashes, and when the lower fold is colored with makeup (eyeliner) the eye will appear bigger. For the elderly - like Noah, it is for eyesight enhancement and to a lesser extent - aesthetic. Vanity? I'm not sure about that. LOL

Before surgery and 12 days after the surgery photos. There is still some swelling, but it looks mighty good in comparison.
Thank you Dr. Vitawat Angkatavanich.
