no sabbath = no salvation

the equation above is better understood this way:
no Sabbath = no seal of God = no salvation.

the Seventh-day Adventists believe and teach that the Sabbath (7th week day) is the Seal of God even if they don't have any single verse from the bible to that effect. to add to that they say that in the final conflict before the end of the world, the Sabbath will be the deciding factor between good and evil.

read for yourself the words of this church's prophetess:

"the sign or seal of God is revealed in the observance of the seventh-day Sabbath..."

"Not one of us will ever receive the seal of God while our characters have one spot or stain on them. It is left to us to remedy the defects in our characters, to cleanse the soul-temple of every defilement."

"The Lord will teach man the lesson that though united in church capacity, he is NOT saved until the seal of God is placed on him."

"The Sabbath question will be the issue in the great final conflict,"

The SDA prophetess explicitly details how the saved will first have to acquire God’s seal by obedience to the Sabbath law, and that the Sabbath will be the issue in the final judgment.

Where is the death of Jesus and his saving grace in all these teachings?

Contrary to what they teach, here is what God's Holy Word says:
Ephesians 2:8, 9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is  not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast."

Galatians 2:16 "know that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified."

Galatians 2:21 "I do not set aside the the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

Galatians 5:4 "You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace."

"Happy Sabbath"

This casual and seemingly sweet greeting, exclusively spoken by the Seventh-day Adventists (SDA) has cryptic undertones that escape the mind of the people who habitually say it.

It actually is just the tip of the iceberg of a greater conspiracy to unseat Jesus from his throne and to prevent the Holy Spirit from taking possession of the individual.

Central in this conspiracy is the propping up of the “SABBATH” on a pedestal with the support of an obsolete Old Covenant commandment – the fourth, which commanded the ancient Israelite to “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.” This, plus the visions of an 1800’s prophetess supply the elements of this conspiracy.

Here’s proof to that conspiracy:

1.   Believers of the gospel since the establishment of the New Testament have been called “Christians.” (Acts 11:26). “Christ” is identified in the name by which his believers are called.

The Seventh-day Adventist church junked the word Christian and called themselves by the name of a number of a day of the week – seventh, Sabbath. Christ in this sense was struck out from the identity of a group of people who profess to believe in him. Sabadista – sabado or Sabbath is now the identity of these people. There is no “Christ” in their official name – Seventh-day Adventist.

2.  This church believes and teaches that the Seal of God is the Sabbath contrary to what the Bible teaches that the Holy Spirit is the seal of God (Eph 1:13). In this case the Sabbath impeached the Holy Spirit as God’s seal.

3.  Paul taught that the believers should greet each other with a holy kiss in the name of Jesus. (Phil 4:21; 2 Cor 13:12). The SDA instead greet each other - “happy Sabbath.”

4. The Saints will appear before Jesus in his return with the name of God engraved on their foreheads giving the identity of the saved (Rev 14: 1). The prophetess of the SDA states that Sabbath will be the issue at the final judgment and it will separate the doomed from the saved. (SM bk 3 p 423)

     5. Jesus says that he is the “rest” for everyone with a heavy burden. (Matt 11:24;  Heb 4). The SDA have the Sabbath as their rest.

The “Sabadistas” unknowingly have doctrines that elevate their Sabbath over Jesus and the Holy Spirit. One will also note that this group places more effort in the observance and teachings of the Sabbath then preaching about the saving grace of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is something that they frequently seek, but never experience.

So, how are these group of people identified by the non-SDA people around them? Yes, by the Sabbath. Just ask anyone who is acquainted with this group the question - "who are these SDA?" and the answer would be, "the Sabadistas? they don't work on Sabado, they don't eat pork or drink alcohol."

Back to the Bible. According to Jesus, how are the Christians recognized as his disciples? "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35)

the time of Jesus' return is not a mystery

The Seventh-day Adventist has full assurance that the day and hour of Jesus’ return (to bring his people to heaven) will be announced beforehand.

To the average church member all the preparations for making sure that one is saved become urgent due to the event of sudden death or the “Close of Probation.” Again there is no mystery when the Close of Probation will happen, because this will be preceded by the proclamation of the “Sunday Law.”

For these reasons the average SDA member would want to go to his deathbed by sickness where he has ample time to prepare to meet God. An instant death by vehicular accident or a bullet from a gun is not favored because of the uncertainty of being prepared.

This church makes sure that each member is aware of the events that will take place before this world will end. They know that they have all the facts as given by God through the prophetess E. G. White. Prophecy is this church’s gospel.

Excommunicated!

Today – October 14, marks the 8th year anniversary of this writer’s fall from the roster of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) church.

The Mountain View College Alumni Church unanimously voted his demise from their ranks based on the SDA Church Manual, which stated this:

Their decision and action on this fateful day based on their second bible proved a few things:

1. They believe that they have been “conferred the power to act in Christ’s stead.” In other words they believe that they are the Vicar of Jesus (A vicar is a representative, deputy or substitute; anyone acting "in the person of" or agent for a superior (compare "vicarious" in the sense of "at second hand"). This is akin to the Catholic Church’s claim for the Pope.

2. The church manual states that their decision “will be ratified in heaven.” This means that the collective action of a group of people who after following the guidelines of a church can determine who will be saved or not.

3. They believe that their authority to bar persons from heaven is based on the verse in Matthew 16:19 (“And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”)

The reader will be spared the details of this particular case. It will suffice to know that the root cause for the church’s action was based on this writer’s straightforward interpretation of this particular bible verse: “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.” Colossians 2:16.

For the information of the reader, this church believes and teaches that eating or touching of the foods deemed “abominable” in the ancient Israelites’ covenant at Mt. Sinai is also binding for the present-day Christian, so is the Sabbath observance.  They also teach that the ‘breaking’ of these old covenant laws will exclude one from heaven.

The SDA church can never accept this verse at face value, because in doing so it would shatter the very foundations of its establishment. They would rather make a 180-degree turn against the truth in this verse and judge one member with regards to food, drink and the Sabbath day.

Noah's favorite daughter's 30th birthday retreat

(parents should not have favorites among their children - but i do. i have a favorite son and a favorite daughter :-))

this album is about our family and 2 other families on a 3D2N escapade to the exotic coastal city of Hua Hin.

the three families that compose this group all live in one building with 5 floors. we have a lot of things in common - age is not one, but the possession of a gopro cam in each family is, and it gave us the basis to name this building - the Jollywood Studios. with this awesome gadget we managed to collect the photos here and some videos to be posted later.

in the van for the 3 - 4 hours trip to Hua Hin

family pose at the entrance

lunch inside the water park

flow-through around the park

the wave pool

waiting for the waves to start

"hey boy, have you drank enough pool water already?"

there were about 6 water tubes of different sizes, colors, dips n turns, but the orange one was really good. here kailee and kukie shrieked through and landed with a not-so-big splash.

nok and jp came down without losing their balance.

omar tries to maintain his usual elegant poise but his weight was too much and they landed on top of each other.

the grandfather's weight too was his undoing.

kailee just loved going back for more rides.

jo ann doesn't usually take this challenging rides but this time she did it twice.

at the black slide - the longest and deepest water slide.

the water was soo clear at the infinity pool and we had fun taking group photos.

this water slide can hold an entire clan.

noah's wife wishing the sun didn't have to set.

the wakeboard pond... they didn't have the wakeboard facilities running that day - to our disappointment.

villa S - a three-storey, 4 bedroom villa by the beach at hua hin was our home for 2 nights.

her breath the longest.

kukie doing a selfie with the gopro.

the mermaid sneaking up on the dugong.

noah's wife again, savoring the pool. i'm not sure if she was a fish in her previous life.

kailee learns how to dive

that's what we did the whole day. eat, swim, pose, dance, etc.

progression of shots starts at a sitting position and works up closer to the cam...

you bet this was really wacky and fun

dinnerrrrr...

kukie's hawaiian-themed birthday feast courtesy of her old man

it is called a "budol fight" where all the food is placed on the table and is attacked with bare hands.

a little hill of rice and a couple of fish and bbq sticks is all that was left after the fight.

the  morning after is fun at the beach, which is just a few dozen meters from the villa. the monkey mountain looms in the background.

on the way back to bangkok we drop by the swiss sheep farm...

and the santorini water park for lunch.

thank you Jesus for family, friends and fun!
