Blighted ovum

If I may broach on this unfamiliar subject
Your keen indulgence now please don’t object
Ovulation, fertilization, formation of blastocyst
And similar events that contribute to this gist.

A bespectacled guy sporting some whiskers
In need of a son and maybe some daughters
This chubby lady with almond eyes did swoon
Heaped on her love from midnight till noon.

A romp in the beach a swim in the pool
Choco cakes so sweet durian shakes so cool.
maybe this combination can produce a kid.
A hug and a kiss could add up to his bid.

The heralding news to the ears of the aunt
I’m preggy I’m preggy and bulging up front
Not too fast now don’t celebrate too soon
We just delivered a tiny blighted ovum.

Giel Ray II

You peek through the sheets I can see your eyes
Fuzzy hair, crimson lips, plump cheeks so nice.
You stare at me like you’ve known me for long
My heart beats fast like the rhythm of a song.

Your sister came before you as a blighted ovum
But she faded away like the leaves of autumn
God filled the void she left when you came to be
Now your dad plus you and me makes three.

The incubator is your crib at least for now
I know I’ll manage the loneliness somehow
I keep you in my thoughts all night and day
You will soon be with me never to go away.

Yeah, my sweet and charming little boy
God sent you to us - a soft bundle of joy.
Sleep well ‘cause you have a lot of growing to do
you’ll soon be home my darling Giel Ray number 2.

“How was your run?”

In matters of the heart I may not be a star
Just learning the ropes and hoping I can go far.
Been stopped a couple of times short of my goal
Gave me a chance to search down deep in my soul.

By manly standards I know I’m a hopeless romantic
Can see the gap between painted face and authentic.
Fair-skinned girls can get my hormones a-running
With my heart heated up and noisily humming.

Long distance running was not really my type
One knee quite lazy couldn’t build up the hype.
Then she came along and zapped up the miles
I thought I’d tag along and show her my styles.

Did some pretty long marathons alongside the lass
Just wondering when I should make the right pass
My tongue got twisted up and throat became dry
Really messed things up in the night of my first try.

Now she’s gone and my dreams are all a-shattered
I should have ventured out even if I stuttered.
She sent me her thoughts like a blast from a gun
“Ton, how are you, and… how was your run?”

Beatus

This Latin adjective, which is the basis for the word BEATITUDE means happy, fortunate or blissful. And why shouldn't it be when Jesus himself spoke it?

“And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”Matthew 5: 1-12

The keen observer may note that my last 3 blog entries revolve around the issue of staying humble and submissive. This may give away the situation I may be in of which I will not refute.

Let me declare in this blog that Jesus is still in control of my heart and I will sing of his love no matter which way the wind blows:-)

River Kwai Marathon 2011

this event is officially known as the "Mizuno 2011 - River Kwai International Half Marathon" and it is the oldest marathon in Thailand with this year being its 30th anniversary.

Kanchanaburi is a province west of Bangkok and shares a border with Burma. it took us 3 hours by car to get there. this would be my first mountain marathon and the cleanest one judging by the pure mountain air compared to the smoke-choked streets of downtown Bangkok.

due to the uniqueness of the venue i decided to bring along my small pocket cam to document the run and in the process it got wet by the sweat and the recurring showers.
